Writers and Me

I’ve written about fifty-six stories on this site, some of them doing well enough. I’m not at the summit yet, that’s okay.

We all know a few members of the mile-high club, the ones you can’t scroll past. Not the obvious ones with a kajillion views.

I mean the hard workers with imaginations. The wordsmiths and courageous ones who stay up late. They get up early to check their earnings and jot ideas here and there.

Here are a few writers I enjoy.

Kristine Laco, hilarious and heartfelt. KiKi Walter, gifted and painterly. Rachel Thompson, because she is brilliant. Roxane Gay, because she’s a genius and smarter than hell. All amazing.

Dr John Frederick Rose because he’s a poet and a cook, and dwells in song lines and sparse verse. MW Mercer because he’s a performance artist and writer. And fellow English major!

Ruby Lee, who has a personable and friendly writing voice.

All the cool people who think and write and respond.
