Hey there! I'm the publisher and EIC of Parasol Publications, which include The Narrative Arc, The Wind Phone, Imogene's Notebook and Walking Camino. Colleague publishers own The Penny Pub, and Travel Memoirs--which I've assisted to develop, and also reside under the Parasol umbrella.

I am participating in the Medium Boost Nomination Pilot Program, and I help excellent writers get boosted. I read a lot, write pitches, and take pride in that. I converse (via pm's) with writers and editors every day--for hours. I'm that person.

Generally, I have enough tech skills to stay busy on Medium with my best friends, fellow publishers and writers. There's more than meets the eye to keeping a publication pretty.

I'm not big on owning all the pubs I develop, and take a lot of joy in helping my friends get set up. Our model on Parasol is collaborative teamwork--writers and publishers working together to assist writers. I develop pubs with publishers, stay on as an editor, help with technology. Just part of what I do.

My primary role as an editor is supporting writers in producing excellent work, and--as a publisher--to showcase it in beautifully formatted and closely-attended publications. My team meets on Slack daily to discuss the pubs and editing tasks. Working together, discussing writing, and putting up our own essays keeps our writing fluid.
